MobileLAN Access - WA21 / WA22

The WA21/WA22 has been designed with the future in mind. They have a larger processor and more memory when compared to the older 2100/2101 platform of products. The processor comes into play when dual radios are in operation, or when the Embedded Access Server (EAS) or future access point functionality is in use.

The WA21/WA22 has other improvements that are not available in the 2100/2101 series of access points as listed below:

  • WA21 - comes POE enabled, can be ordered with POE and AC power - This is an either or option on the 2100D .

  • WA21/WA22 - POE compatible with MobileLANTpower (PowerDsine) and Cisco and 802.3af - The 2100/2101 are only compatible with MobileLANTpower. . . . . .

  • WA22 POE - only powered via POE, however the one port power bridge, 071620 can be used the same way that an AC power supply is used.

  • WA22 - comes with robust TNC Antenna connectors - not available on the 2101B

  • WA21/22 - has a Plenum rating - not available on the 2100D/2101B

  • WA21/22 - faster radio support, 802.11a, 802.11g (when available) - the 2100/2101 products cannot support these and future radios.
